In 1947, 75 years ago, Jugoslovenski Aerotransport - JAT for short - was formed from predecessor companies. For decades, it was to become the airline of the multi-ethnic state of Yugoslavia, renowned in both East and West. From 1978, the DC-10 was JAT's flagship. YU-AMA was christened with the name of Nikola Tesla, who, with no less than 280 patents in the field of electrical power engineering, laid more than a few foundation stones for our society today.
